Angus issues
Ok, I know I am getting slow at posting pictures on here of the puppies. But my little angus has developed an bump on the side of his neck so I have been spending a lot of time with him to make sure he is eatting good and not getting sick. Think it's from the shot I gave him in the neck, don't think I rubbed it enough. Just waiting for it to go down. Then I can relax a little and get the puppy pictures posted.

Puppies
The puppies are beginning to climb out of the box and growl and bark at each other. They are so cute! August 30th they will be ready to give away if anyone is interested in one. I will post pictures of them on here soon.

Awesome news!! The little girl has finally figured out how to suckle!! Yeah! No more force feeding her... I was starting to get very concerned that she was not getting enough to eat, but she is filling out and her ribs are not showing any longer. I will keep posting on their progress. Watch for updates to the herd.

I do believe some baby calves are born stubborn and not knowing how to suckle from a bottle. Our little girl we got yesterday is having a hard time drinking. I am having to force feed her 1/2 a bottle of milk 4 times a day because she just doesn't get it. She is doing good otherwise. Hoping she will get the hang of it soon.

Got 2 new additions to our growing herd of cattle. One is an angus bull calf and the other is a Swiss Angus cross heifer. They are getting adjusted to their new place. When I purchased them 100 miles from our home, I didn't have the truck with me cuz it's not running right and the only one I could find to haul them wanted $3. per mile... wow. So instead, I went to the hardware store in town and bought a cheap tarp, folded down the back seat, and spread out the tarp from the trunk all the way thru to the front seat. The little one's road just fine in the back of the car. Although this is not something I want to do on a daily basis. Car really needs to air out now.
I will be adding photos of the new additions tomorrow.

New home
Well the calves finally got out of the individual pens and are now in the open space of the barn. I think I moved them too quickly because trying to feed them buckets of milk when they are all trying to drink from the same bucket isn't working too well. Think I need to revise how I am feeding them... open to suggestions.
